  • A fair place for hotpot but great for soup dumplings! 3.5 stars tbh. The crabmeat and crawfish soup dumplings were fantastic. The soup was flavorful and the meat was tender and tasty. The hotpot was okay but had somethings working against it for me. While the broth and dry-pot ingredients were delicious, the lamb meat was unfortunately the weakest link. The sliced meat was too thick a cut, which made it tough to chew. And the distinct flavor of lamb was lost somehow. Additionally, the fact that there is no sauce station at a hotpot place is fairly disappointing. While they offered soy sauce, vinegar, and chili sauce, I think the lack of variety really brought down the hotpot experience. Overall, not a bad place for Chinese!

  • We ate here twice during our NOLA trip, it was that good. The first time we had general tso chicken and it was delicious and fresh. The next time we splurged for the hot pot. We've never had a hot pot. We make the mistake of getting it spicy. Yeah, won't do that again lol. It was so hot we were crying. We both love spicy food, but as we've learned with authentic Thai food, apparently authentic Chinese food has the same spice scale and we underestimated how spicy it would be (this is not your strip mall Chinese). That said, my husband still talks about the hot pot and how great it was, even if it required us walking to CVS nearby for some TUMS . Note the other location doesn't do hot pots like this one. This location is far superior. It's a small restaurant so if it's busy, you may have a wait.

  • Went for lunch as a solo diner and had a good experience. I ordered the wontons in spicy sauce, veggie stir-fry, and jasmine tea. The tea was high quality and didn't get bitter after steeping for a while. The flavor of the wontons was good, only downside is that they were very slightly over-boiled so fell apart a little. The spicy sauce was tasty though a little more umami and less chili-oil forward than I've typically had with this dish (maybe soy sauce added). The veggie stir fry was flavorful and had a nice variety of vegetables: caulini, lotus root, taro, bell peppers, celery. Service was very attentive and the restaurant was clean. I would return in the future.

  • Such a great little restaurant. Busy but not overly so. We got the soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, and fried rice with the 325ml bottle of sake. The soup dumplings were amazing. I would go back just to get them!
